Prabhas has several major films lined up, and managing the schedules and release dates of multiple big-budget projects can become complicated.
His upcoming lineup includes “Fauzi”, “Spirit” and “Kalki 2”, making the release calendar particularly important.
The release plans for “Fauzi” have already undergone a change. The Hanu Raghavapudi directorial was earlier scheduled to hit cinemas on December 3, 2026, but the makers have now confirmed that the release has been postponed. A new date has not yet been announced.
At the same time, “Spirit”, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is officially scheduled to release on March 5, 2027. The makers had earlier confirmed that the film would stick to this date despite speculation about a postponement.
Against this backdrop, there is industry buzz that Prabhas has suggested to Mythri Movie Makers that “Fauzi” be pushed to the second half of 2027, allowing “Spirit” to arrive first.
According to this talk, Prabhas believes that the business momentum surrounding “Spirit” could also benefit “Fauzi” when it eventually releases.
There is also reportedly an understanding that “Spirit” should follow “Fauzi”, making the proposed reversal an interesting development.
However, there is no official confirmation from Prabhas or Mythri Movie Makers regarding such a suggestion. For now, “Fauzi” has no new release date, while “Spirit” remains scheduled for March 5, 2027.
It remains to be seen how the release plans for the two films will eventually be worked out.
