The family have paid tribute to their 13-year-old daughter with a heartbreaking statement, saying she was “the light of our lives” and the whole family is “devastated”

Actor Chad Lowe has announced the death of his 13-year-old daughter, Fiona.
Fiona Harper Lowe was daughter of Lowe, 58, and his wife producer Kim Painter, 52, who shared the heartbreaking news in a statement to People Magazine.
The couple said: “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona.
They paid tribute to their daughter whom they described as “a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance.”
“She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents,” the statement said.
“In fact, she was the light of our lives.
“Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”
The statement concluded by urging people to reach out for help if they are struggling with their mental health.
Fiona, niece to Rob Lowe, would have turned 14 on November 16.
Last year, her father posted a tribute to her on her 13th birthday.
The caption read: “Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teen today!! Keep dancing through life FiBear! Love you soooo much!!”
Her birthday was just a short time after the family lost their home in the Pacific Palisades Fire in 2025.
Chad posted that the family went to see what was left of the property in February this year.
He said: “Almost a month after we evacuated our girls finally got to go back to see what’s left of their home,” he wrote in an Instagram post at the time.
“The way they’ve handled this whole devastating experience is nothing short of remarkable. I am in awe of their spirit and resilience. Helping them navigate these tough times is my sole purpose.
“Being their dad is my life’s greatest joy and privilege.”
Fiona has two sisters, Mable, 17, and Nixie, 10.
Chad Lowe is best known for his Emmy-award winning role as Jesse McKenna in Life Goes On as well as his role in Pretty Little Liars.
He is also brother to actor Rob Lowe.
