DoorDash Opens Massive GCC in Hyderabad, Plans 3,000+ Jobs

US-based local commerce and delivery giant DoorDash has opened its first India talent hub in Hyderabad, giving another boost to the city’s growing Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem.

The Hyderabad centre has started operations with around 500 professionals and is expected to expand to more than 3,000 employees over the next two years.

The hub will support DoorDash’s global operations across customer experience, integrity and general and administrative functions.

The company’s new office is located in HITEC City. DoorDash is currently reported to be operating from Auro Orbit, while reports on Hyderabad’s commercial real estate market suggest that the company is looking at a much larger long-term office footprint at Vamsiram CyberSpazio.

DoorDash’s Hyderabad facility will also become one of only three company-owned Customer Experience and Integrity hubs globally, alongside Tempe in Arizona and Mexico City.

The centre is expected to function as an extended arm of the company’s global customer support organisation, with specialised capabilities such as integrity operations, fraud review and technical support potentially being added over time.

The Hyderabad team will support a global platform serving more than 56 million monthly active users. DoorDash’s marketplaces operate in more than 40 countries following its global expansion and acquisitions.

The company also remains one of the biggest players in the US food delivery market, with more than 65 per cent market share, according to DoorDash.

Its Marketplace Gross Order Value crossed $100 billion in 2025, reaching $102 billion, up 27 per cent from the previous year.

DoorDash processed 3.2 billion total orders in 2025, while its marketplaces ended the year with more than 56 million monthly active users and over 35 million members across DashPass, Wolt+ and Deliveroo Plus.

The Hyderabad expansion adds DoorDash to the growing list of multinational companies choosing the city for major GCC and technology operations.

Hyderabad has emerged as one of India’s key destinations for global capability centres, driven by its large technology workforce, office infrastructure and relatively strong ecosystem for multinational operations.

DoorDash’s decision to build a large team in the city further strengthens Hyderabad’s position as a major global hub for technology, customer operations and corporate support functions.
