Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s fiancé Ken Urker has died at age 34.

A family member found Urker at a home in Louisiana on October 1, according to People. Police in Raceland, Louisiana, confirmed that officers had been called out at about 6:15 p.m. and that Urker, whose birthday was today, was found dead at the scene.

A cause of death has not been announced, but police are investigating. According to TMZ, which was first to report the news, Blanchard sent Uker a “happy birthday” text but he did not reply. Urker’s brother later discovered him deceased.

Blanchard and Urker first connected when she was serving time in prison in Missouri for her role in helping to plan the 2015 murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. They began dating and eventually got engaged. However, the relationship ended several years before she was released in December 2023. In 2022, Blanchard married Ryan Anderson, but they divorced not long after she got out of prison. Soon after, Blanchard and Urker reconnected. Their daughter, Aurora, was born in December 2024.

“Welcoming 2025 with the greatest gift of all,” Urker captioned an Instagram post of Blanchard in a hospital bed cradling their newborn.

In a statement to TMZ, Blanchard said that Urker was being cyber-bullied before he died.

“Ken was an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved,” she said. “[He] will forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase.”
