Strictly Come Dancing movie week: Film-inspired routines for this weekend’s show revealed

Strictly Come Dancing has unveiled the line-up of performances scheduled for its upcoming movie week, featuring animated animal-themed routines drawing inspiration from films including Zootropolis and Ratatouille.

Taking to the ballroom floor this Saturday for the second live broadcast of the series, the celebrity contestants will perform dances themed around cinema classics, acclaimed blockbusters, musicals and animated features.

The BBC show is set to launch with a pre-filmed group dance centred on Disney animation Zootropolis.

Professional dancers will appear costumed as creatures including a gazelle and a rabbit, performing to Shakira tracks Try Everything and Zoo, taken from the original feature and its 2025 sequel.

Judges Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse are also set to step onto the floor alongside the professional troupe in an additional performance based on 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada, set to Lady Gaga tracks Runway and Shape Of A Woman.
