Julie Gonzalo and James Trevena star in A Knight to Remember, a fantasy romance joining the network’s Fall Into Love lineup. With a medieval knight suddenly facing life in the modern world, this love story gives the idea of an old-fashioned gentleman a very literal twist.

Julie plays Emily, a museum conservator working on a statue of an English knight brought to Chicago for an exhibition.
What begins as a restoration assignment takes a magical turn when Emily kisses the statue and the knight comes to life. James plays Sir Griffin de Beauford, whose unexpected arrival makes Emily’s connection to the past considerably more complicated than anything she could encounter at work.

When museum conservator Emily Porter (Gonzalo) restores a centuries-old statue of legendary, Mediaeval knight Sir Griffin de Beauford (Trevena), one unexpected kiss brings him magically back to life and turns her carefully ordered world upside down.
As Emily helps the chivalrous time-traveler navigate modern Chicago, pumpkin spice lattes, a Halloween Medieval Fayre, and an FBI investigation led by her ex-husband, she begins to rediscover the wonder and romance she thought she had left behind. But with a rare celestial conjunction approaching and Griffin’s fate hanging in the balance, Emily must decide whether the safest heart is one kept guarded or one brave enough to believe in a love written in the stars.
Is A Knight to Remember based on a book?
Yes, the film adapts Bryn Donovan‘s romance novel Her Knight at the Museum, which was also the project’s title during production.
Bryn visited the set while the movie was filming and later shared a behind-the-scenes account on her website. She even participated as an extra in a dancing scene!
Who stars in A Knight to Remember?
Julie Gonzalo leads the cast as Emily. Television viewers might recognize her from Dallas, Veronica Mars, and Supergirl, in which she played Andrea Rojas/Acrata. She’s also been in movies like Freaky Friday, A Cinderella Story, and Christmas with the Kranks.
Her previous Hallmark projects include Jingle Bell Bride, Flip That Romance, Falling for Vermont, and Cut, Color, Murder.
James Trevena stars opposite Julie as Sir Griffin de Beauford. His credits include Sacrifice, The Shannara Chronicles, and American Woman. He also portrayed Beach Boys musician Dennis Wilson in Charlie Says.
He will also star in the upcoming Hallmark movie A Grand Biltmore Christmas with Andie MacDowell.
Chris McNally also makes a cameo appearance in the film! Britt Irvin, Matty Finochio, Luc Roderique, William C. Vaughan, and David James Lewis also star.

A Knight to Remember premieres Saturday, October 3, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. Central on Hallmark Channel.
The movie will begin streaming Sunday, October 4, on Hallmark+, so you can catch it later if you miss the linear premiere.

Where was A Knight to Remember filmed?
Although the story takes place in Chicago, filming took place in the Vancouver area of British Columbia, Canada.
Bryn‘s set-visit account offers a firsthand look at one location, the grounds of a Tudor-style mansion. She described flying into Vancouver and staying in a town approximately 45 minutes away before being driven to the shoot.
