Nicole Kidman shares sweet exchange with her daughter Faith, 15, before joining the glitzy FROW with Dua Lipa and Alexa Demi at Chanel’s PFW show

It is one of the biggest shows in the Paris Fashion Week calendar.

And Chanel certainly exercised its star-power, as A-listers including Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa and Olivia Wilde arrived at Monday’s SS27 presentation.

Australian actress Nicole, 59, was joined by her daughter Faith Urban, 15, who she shares with her ex-husband Keith before joining a star-studded front row.

Nicole, who was pictured blowing kisses to fans, wore a grey tweed blazer dress that highlighted her slender legs, teamed with a pair of black heels.

Faith was also head-to-toe in Chanel, sporting a grey and black cardigan with blue jeans and heeled pumps as she was seen affectionately hugging her mother.

It marked Nicole’s first Fashion Week appearance this season, but it comes as no surprise due to her close affiliation with the fashion house. 

Last October it was announced she was returning to the house as a brand ambassador, more than two decades after her original 2004 No 5 campaign.  

Nicole took her place between Dua and Euphoria star Alexa Demie, while they were also joined by Pedro Pascal.

Dua, 31, sported an eye-catching red feathered co-ord, which featured a midi skirt with a sizzling thigh slit.

While the outfit certainly commanded attention, Dua kept the rest of her look subdued, as she wore her hair tied back and opted for classic pumps.

Olivia Wilde also opted for a daring ensemble, styling a silver metallic jacket with a turquoise plaid midi skirt with a simple white T-shirt.

French actress Marion Cotillard was also on the exclusive guest list and arrived wearing a black tank top with chain detailing, teamed with pale blue trousers.

The Inception star was toting a velvet Chanel flap bag and wore a pair of cat-eye style sunglasses for the occasion. 

Meanwhile, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore a beige sude jacket, which she wore with a pair of tailored grey trousers and heels. 

Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection is being led by Matthieu Blazy, the brand’s artistic director of fashion activities.

It marked his second main ready-to-wear collection for Chanel. He took over Chanel’s fashion activities last year, with his debut SS26 collection marking a new chapter for the house

One of the clearest narratives in the show was movement from restriction to freedom.

The collection references the early Chanel wardrobe — jersey, simple dresses, relaxed proportions — and eventually arrives at the more recognisable Chanel vocabulary of the tailored jacket and suit.

The bird is probably the most obvious visual metaphor running through the collection.

There were feathers, bird-shaped jewellery and ornaments, nest-like elements and other avian references in the build-up to the show.

And Blazy himself described Chanel as taking flight — essentially using the bird as a symbol of freedom and transformation.
