The heated blanket has received more than 10,800 customer reviews and a high 95% recommendation rate
Argos shoppers have been snapping up a best-selling electric blanket to help keep warm this winter. The Silentnight Comfort Control Electric Underblanket is soft to the touch and can be used as an extra layer on beds thanks to handy straps which secure to your mattress.
Priced between £35 and £45, with single, double, king, and super king size options, the heated blanket has received more than 10,800 customer reviews and a high 95% recommendation rate on the Argos website. According to the retailer, by pre-heating your bed for one hour on a low setting, the blanket can cost as little as 1p to run.
There are four heat settings in total and a 10 minute heat-up time. The low energy consumption option is a great alternative to turning your central heating on, and has overheat protection, ensuring safety while using overnight.

One buyer left a five star review which reads: “Amazing product. Very good quality and amazing for cold nights, will be a life saver for the upcoming winter.”
Another shopper said: “Good quality electric blanket, simple straight forward controls and does exactly what it is meant to do, very pleased with the purchase.”
A third pleased buyer commented: “Excellent quality. Very good electric blanket, heats quickly. Very pleased with the purchase.”
Although, this shopper was disappointed with the lack of timer, writing: “Very beautiful blanket and very easy to use but it’s such a shame that it doesn’t work with a timer. Would have been nice to have that written in the description. I now have a blanket that I can’t use and can’t return!”
Shoppers looking for alternatives might consider Dunelm’s Fleece Electric Throw priced at £30 which you can use on the sofa or at your desk. Available in charcoal and taupe brown options, it’s currently an “in demand” choice on the website.
We’ve also spotted the Slumberdown Comfy Hugs Electric Blanket Heated Throw has been reduced from £45.99 down to £27.13 at Debenhams. The soft fleece throw has nine heat settings with a built-in timer to keep costs at a minimum.
Another top viewed item on Argos right now is the Argos Home 21m 3 Tier Heated Airer, priced at £105. Shoppers have praised its ability to dry large amount of washing in one go, while offering a cheaper solution to using the costly tumble dryer.
With 21 metres of drying space, the three tier airer can hold larger items such as towels and bedding. Made of lightweight aluminium, it’s easy to move around the house, and folds away when not in use.
The Argos Home airer has a digital timer, meaning you can get on with other household tasks and leave it to do its thing.
