AHSOKA Season 2 Photo Teases a Surprising Connection to the Mortis Gods — GeekTyrant

Ahsoka Season 2 looks ready to dive headfirst into some very interesting corners of Star Wars mythology, and a new photo may have revealed an unexpected connection between two major pieces of the story such as the Nightsisters and the Mortis Gods.

Star Wars has pulled back considerably on live-action television in recent years. After a stretch when Disney+ shows practically became the franchise’s main attraction, Ahsoka Season 2 is currently the only confirmed upcoming live-action Star Wars series.

More announcements could arrive at Star Wars Celebration in April, but for now, Ahsoka Tano is carrying the TV side of the galaxy.

Fans will also have to wait longer than originally expected. The second season was previously expected this summer, but it has since been pushed to April 2027, which is a long wait for fans who are excited to see the storylines that were left hanging at the end of Season 1 continue.

Grand Admiral Thrawn made it back to the main Star Wars galaxy and is positioned to help usher in a new era for the Empire. Meanwhile, Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren remain stranded on Peridea, where the Force Ghost of Anakin Skywalker was seen watching over them.

Then there’s Baylan Skoll. Baylan’s mysterious mission led him toward enormous statues of the Mortis Gods, one of the more fascinating pieces of mythology introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

The Father, Daughter, and Son are connected to balance, the light side, and the dark side of the Force, respectively. Their appearance in Ahsoka immediately raised questions about just how far Dave Filoni planned to take this story.

Filoni recently confirmed that the Mortis Gods are “definitely a thing” in Ahsoka Season 2. That’s important because Season 1 left open the possibility that Baylan was merely looking for something associated with them. Filoni’s comment makes their involvement sound much more substantial.

Exactly how they’ll appear remains a mystery. Season 2 will feature new Clone Wars-era flashbacks, which could provide an obvious route since the Mortis Gods died during their original The Clone Wars story. Of course, we’re talking about supernatural beings tied directly to the Force, so death doesn’t necessarily close the book on them.

Now another intriguing piece has entered the puzzle. A newly revealed image shows a prop from Ahsoka Season 2 depicting the Nightsisters worshipping the Mortis Gods. If that’s what the image represents, it introduces a connection that could have major implications for what Baylan discovers on Peridea.
