Change can be so scary — an unknown, a fantasized result with no guarantee. But it also can be immensely rewarding. On her new single “Are You Willing To Change?,” Alabama-raised, Brooklyn-based artist A.G. Sully makes change sound like a beautiful inevitable.
“Love is a winning game/ When you’re willing the change,” she sings over a pouncing syncopated drum beat and glowing synths. Her voice is holographic and open to possibility. The song grows outward with a jazzy bass. Later, a organ takes the song to new heights. It’s a new wave gospel.
