Speculation is rife that Allu Arjun and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s much-awaited film, tentatively referred to as “AA23,” may have been shelved. The film was officially announced earlier this year with a video teaser, and the latest buzz about its status has triggered discussion on social media.
The latest reports suggest that Lokesh Kanagaraj, who recently said that he would begin production on the Allu Arjun film in November 2026, is now looking to pitch a new story to Mahesh Babu. This has led to speculation that “AA23” may no longer be moving forward as planned.
Mythri Movie Makers is producing the film, which marks the first collaboration between Allu Arjun and Lokesh Kanagaraj. However, neither Lokesh’s team nor the production house has made any official statement confirming that the project has been shelved.
There are also reports that Allu Arjun may continue shooting for Atlee’s “Raaka” back-to-back, with the film being planned as two parts. “Raaka” has been in production for a considerable period.
Lokesh Kanagaraj reportedly pitched an idea to Allu Arjun after the release of “Coolie,” following which the project was officially announced. For now, the status of “AA23” remains unclear, and it remains to be seen whether the film will go ahead as announced or undergo a change in plans.
