Aishwarya Rai Faces Brutal Body Shaming

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, crowned Miss World in 1994, again faced intense online scrutiny after her Paris Fashion Week appearance.

She walked for L’Oréal Paris with confidence and elegance. Yet, instead of focusing on her performance, many social media users focused on her body, weight and appearance.

Some comments were openly body-shaming. Users called her overweight and even asked whether she was pregnant.

Others suggested that she should exercise or use Ozempic. Such remarks show how quickly public attention can shift from a woman’s achievements to her physical appearance.

More disturbing were comments about her face and changing looks. One viral remark called her “the most beautiful woman in the world” but claimed that she had spoiled her face.

It suggested that even a global beauty icon was not satisfied with her appearance and had used artificial means to change it. However, this remains a social media claim and is not an established fact.

The episode exposes a deeper contradiction. Aishwarya has long been celebrated as a symbol of beauty. Yet, the same public that places women on beauty pedestals also criticises them when they age or change physically.

At 52, she is still expected by some to look exactly as she did decades ago.

Many fans, however, praised her runway presence and confidence. Her appearance produced sharply different reactions.

Some judged her body and face, while others celebrated her presence.

The incident highlights how difficult it remains for women, even globally recognised beauty icons, to escape relentless scrutiny over their appearance.
