Akhil Akkineni had promised his fans that he would sign more films and announce his next project soon after the success of “Lenin”. However, two months have passed, and the actor has remained tight-lipped about his next film.
After waiting for a solid success for several years, Akhil finally found one with “Lenin”, which released earlier this year. The film, co-starring Bhagyashri Borse and produced by his father Nagarjuna, emerged as a good success and ended his run of flops.
It was earlier reported that Akhil was impressed with a script narrated by a new director. However, following the success of “Lenin”, he appears to be reconsidering the project.
Akhil reportedly feels that he should now choose more grounded stories rather than overtly heroic subjects. This has apparently put him in a dilemma over whether to proceed with the new director’s costly project.
Meanwhile, Nagarjuna is said to be listening to more scripts from various directors for his son’s next film. The search for a strong script is currently underway.
As a result, Akhil Akkineni may have to wait a few more months before he begins his next project.
