Reacher star Alan Ritchson is teaming up with Arnold Schwarzenegger for a new Christmas movie, and Prime Video has released the first trailer. The Man With the Bag casts Schwarzenegger as Santa Claus in his first holiday movie since 1996’s Jingle All the Way.

Prime Video teases that The Man with the Bag will offer a blend of holiday-themed action and comedy. Per the synopsis, When Santa’s (Schwarzenegger) iconic red bag is stolen by a rogue elf with a grudge (Awkwafina), Christmas is suddenly at risk.
With his biggest night of the year fast approaching, Santa recruits a thief (Ritchson) from his “Naughty List” who quickly assembles a crew of criminally skilled misfits—with a little help from elves and reindeer—to pull off the most unexpected heist of their lives. Packed with holiday magic, big laughs, and plenty of heart, The Man with the Bag is a holiday heist adventure about second chances, unlikely friendships, and discovering that sometimes even Santa needs a little help delivering Christmas.
The Man With the Bag Has a Star-Packed Cast
Adam Shankman (Hairspray) directed The Man with the Bag from a screenplay written by Allan Rice (Stuck in the Middle). It stars Arnold Schwarzenegger (Terminator), Alan Ritchson (Reacher), Berkeley James (Middlehood), Michael Cyril Creighton (Game Night), Liza Koshy (The Naked Gun), Kyle Mooney (Y2K), Jane Krakowski (30 Rock), Ken Jeong (The Hangover), and Awkwafina (The Farewell).
Starring opposite Schwarzenegger is a big moment for Ritchson. The Reacher star’s movie career has been taking off lately. He has a role in the latest Fast & Furious movie and a sci-fi hit on Netflix, War Machine, before the release of his experimental action movie Motor City. Sony recently tapped Ritchson to replace Jason Momoa as the star of Helldivers, the movie adaptation of the hit PlayStation games.
The Man with the Bag premieres globally on Prime Video on December 2, 2026.
