Alison Hammond opens up about romance with David, 29, saying ‘we’re kissing a lot’ but will never marry

Alison Hammond is very much a woman in love but she has clear thoughts on marriage when it comes to her partner who is 22 years her junior

Alison Hammond is enjoying life with her toyboy partner – but insists there won’t be wedding bells anytime soon. The Bake Off presenter, 51, met Russian model David Putman, 29, three years ago and has been enjoying a very hands-on relationship.

But she says that while she can see the pair potentially getting engaged, a man will never “own” her. The couple met when Alison booked him for a massage treatment. And she describes him as “one of the most loving people” as they continue to watch love blossom.

“I’ve always had issues with my boyfriends, this one I don’t,” she confessed. “We get on really well. We love each other. I never have to worry and second-guess how he feels about me. He’s wonderful.”

Speaking to the Daily Mail, she admits David doesn’t act his age. Instead, she says it feels as though he is 55. “We’re having a lovely time, lovely holidays. We’re kissing a lot. I’m having a lot of massages. He’s got healing hands,” she said.

But while she says David might someday want kids, she says it’s one thing she can never give him – and won’t stop him if he decides that’s his route to take. And on the idea of marriage, she says it feels too “archaic” to her and she doesn’t have the urge to feel like she belongs to someone.

“I might get engaged, but some man owning me? It’s not gonna happen!,” she defiantly said.

Alison previously discussed their 22 year age gap and touched on those who questioned it. She told us in July it’s not something she loses any sleep over. “It’s nothing to do with anyone else,” she said.

“Yeah, people are going to talk. People do. But that’s their business, not mine.”

In recent years, Alison has been on a huge health-kick, and is looking incredible for it – though she admits, her job at Bake Off makes it difficult to stay on track with easy access to sweet treats.

“I’m exercising, but look, I’ve also been smashing that cake! My PT’s been on the phone going, “When am I going to be seeing you?” I’ll be back – very soon.”

And she joked: “I feel like I’m ageing backwards – my skin’s so much better now than as a younger woman! And you know what, ageing doesn’t bother me. It’s a privilege.

“I’ve never had Botox or fillers, either – but never say never. I’m just loving all these women choosing to grow older gracefully right now – like Pamela Anderson, she’s beautiful.”
