Berlin based project B O D I E S will release new album ‘The Dream’ on November 20th.
The all-female a cappella group boast high different voices, each with their own tonality, accent, and flavouring.
The Berlin-rooted project is a fascinating proposition, with Australian singer-songwriter and producer Kat Frankie spearheading it.
Debut album ‘The Dream’ is out on November 20th via Nanoq Records, and it’s a playful, often beautiful examination of the human voice.
Kat Frankie says of the album:
“When I’m producing, I never think, ‘Who could sing the cello or bass part?’ Instead I’m thinking, ‘This part should sound light and slightly nasal—Liza can do that.’ Or if I’m looking for an earthy and full sound—that’s usually something for Erika. Fama’s voice has a kind of woody quality, and it’s perfect for short, staccato parts.”
