Travellers across the UK needing to keep their children occupied throughout the summer period could get their hands on tickets to Alton Towers at a significantly reduced rate. It comes after Alton Towers launched a major deal that has reduced the cost of a day pass just in time for summer.
Currently, visitors at Alton Towers can get their hands on a day pass for £34.13, compared to the £68 you would be required to pay at the gate on the day of your visit. The day pass provides access to Alton Towers for one full day, providing a chance to experience a wide array of attractions. on a budget.
This includes over 40 rides and attractions, with many customers also being able to experience reduced VAT prices between now and September 1. Better yet, any child you bring with you who is under 90cm tall can enter the Theme Park free of charge.

Visitors should keep in mind, though, that there are some caveats with the Day Pass. For example, entry to the Alton Towers Waterpark is not included with the Day Pass.
Furthermore, if you want any Ride Access Pass reservations, this must also be done online and cannot be done when at the theme park itself. Meanwhile, parking is not included in the ticket; however, you can add it to your booking or purchase it separately on Alton Towers’ website.
If you would rather something a little earlier, you could instead book a stay at Chessington World of Adventures Resort from £96 per person. Your stay could include an overnight visit, free breakfast, free car parking, and one day access of the theme park and zoo, the Echo reports.
If you’ve got a much younger family, you could instead opt to stay at Peppa Pig World, which is offering toddler breaks from £177 per family. This includes an overnight stay at one of the available hotels, breakfast, and two days of park entry for the price of one.
Many people who stayed at Alton Towers Resort gave it five stars and enjoyed their experience, with one traveller writing: “We had a great trip. We got a few fast passes for CBBies Land, which were well priced, but there was so much to do you don’t have to get the fast passes.
“We will have to return as we didn’t see any shows which looked great, and the kids loved just playing in the park. Make use of the app to check queue times, and as we stayed on site, we made use of the early morning entry to get on Wicker Man, which seemed to have the longest queue, but understandable as it’s a great ride.”
Another added: “Really surprised how great it was. Clean location, friendly staff. Will definitely be going back next year.”
While a third said: “Had an absolutely amazing weekend at Alton Towers. We had booked to stay at the Alton Towers resort in a family room. Got a call when we arrived, offering us a complimentary upgrade to a treehouse with a few fast passes for the park. I was absolutely amazed and felt very lucky. I would like to say a big thank you to Maisie, our treehouse host, who made this weekend extra special for us.”
A fourth added: “A great family day out. Service from the staff is always so friendly. A magical place.” A fifth said: “Rides are amazing, food is not bad, and the theming of the rides are amazing also, especially Wicker Man, Smiler, and Nemesis Reborn!”
However, there were some issues pointed out by other customers, with one writing: “Came recently and was good fun! Pricey, but the rides were all ok and good. Went out of season so shorter queue times.”
Another added: “Great theme park with amazing rides. Wait time isn’t great, but that’s expected I guess. I will definitely be returning.”
