My closet is overflowing with clothes, and not in a good way. It’s gotten so crowded that there’s officially no space left for another hanger. So, I’ve decided to launch a wardrobe overhaul for autumn—tossing all the outdated styles that I haven’t worn in years, and replacing them with a pared-down edit of minimalist fall basics that’ll actually see the light of day.
As for where to start, I’ve got my sights set on Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days, which is offering a variety of discounted wardrobe essentials from now until Wednesday, October 7.
While perusing the retailer’s site, I spotted plenty of fall must-haves that’ll cycle easily through my outfit rotation. In the denim department, I found a pair of timeless straight-leg jeans priced at $47. Elsewhere, I discovered a cozy cashmere sweater for $39, a suede skirt for $31, and a classic barn jacket for $83. Oh, and Amazon has countless on-sale shoes and accessories, too. A $109 pair of black boots and a $172 designer tote bag landed a prime spot in my shopping cart. Yes, I said designer!

Denim
As someone who wears denim constantly, I know a thing or two about how to shop for the best jeans. I often rely on dependable brands like Levi’s and Gap—and luckily, these labels are available now on Amazon. From casual baggy jeans to elevated dark-wash alternatives, there’s every style imaginable.
Tops
Temperatures are swiftly dropping, which means layering season has officially commenced. To stay warm, I’ll wear my sweaters and cardigans over fitted T-shirts and tank tops. Shades of gray and beige will keep things neutral, while vibrant hues and stripes will help me to make more of a statement.
Knitwear
Knitwear is an absolute non-negotiable for your autumn wardrobe. Labels like Naadam and Free People offer options under $100 that will prevent you from breaking the bank. Meanwhile, if you’re looking to make an investment in designer labels, Vince and Frame have exactly what you need.
Outerwear
This season, Fall 2026’s most coveted coats and jackets call back to basics. Ditch the fleeting outerwear styles, and shop these looks instead. Amazon’s selection of tailored trenches, leather layers, chore coats, and denim jackets prove that the best styles to shop are more timeless than anything.
Pants & Skirts
There’s nothing wrong with jeans, but lately I’ve been trying to shake things up a bit with pants and skirts that’ll give my hardworking denim a break. If you’ve found yourself in the same boat, consider the edit ahead featuring corduroy pants, suede skirts, twill slacks, and more.
Dresses
The time has come to bid your white linen dresses farewell (for now). To create a minimalist wardrobe that feels more fall-forward, opt for frocks stitched with warmer fabrics, such as suede and denim. Be sure to also adhere to autumn’s traditional color palette by choosing deep shades of chocolate brown, olive green, and midnight black.
Shoes & Bags
No fall ensemble is complete without the right outfit finishers. A few of my favorites below include slouchy leather hobo bags, knee-high boots, and buckled loafers. You’ll find that they’ll pair exceptionally well with the autumn staples that you already have in your closet.
