Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days will return to the UK in October, giving Prime members 48 hours of exclusive savings. The retailer has announced that the event will cover a wide range of categories, including home, kitchen and electronics.
Amazon is promising significant discounts on top brands and seasonal favourites during the two-day sale. The announcement sets out the dates and broad areas covered, rather than detailing individual products or the prices shoppers can expect to pay.
While Amazon is yet to confirm specific details about sale products and prices, there are already plenty of bargains to be had with early deals emerging already.
Jamil Ghani, Vice President of Amazon Prime, said: “Autumn is when everything comes together – the hosting, the decorating, getting your home ready—and Prime Big Deal Days makes it easy to save on all of it. Members can shop top brands they love and discover deals from brands new to Amazon.”

When is Prime Big Deal Days?
Amazon UK’s Prime Big Deal Days event will take place on October 6 and 7, starting at 0.01am on Tuesday, and finishing at 11.59pm on Wednesday, with exclusive savings available to Prime members across the 48-hour period.
The deals will only be available to Prime members, but shoppers can prepare ahead of the event by signing up for Prime via its 30-day free trial. Membership will auto-renew at £8.99 per month after the free trial until cancelled.
What will be included?
The sale is expected to include a wide range of categories, including home, kitchen, electronics, toys, fashion, and beauty. Amazon also says the event will feature top brands and seasonal favourites.
What other sales events are happening?
Amazon isn’t the only retail giant hoping to kick-start shopping season with a bang – Debenhams currently has its Big Autumn Savings Event, with up to 90% off some of the store’s best-selling items, with savings to be had across everything from homeware to fashion and beauty buys. It currently includes 94% off the popular Milan Diamond-Set Luxury Watch with Swiss Quartz Movement, reducing the price from £2,995 to £172.20.
Meanwhile, QVC’s September Steals sale includes up to 40% off beauty, fashion, and homeware. Shoppers in the market for luxe skincare can pick up a £132 Elemis Night Routine Gift Set for £79.
Early Amazon deals
Although Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days event is a couple of weeks away, there are some deals available to shop right now, including this £46 12-piece steam cleaner with almost 600 five-star reviews, reduced to £33.99.
There’s also the Hamilton Beach Air Fryer, which is already 17% off – dropping from £41.98 to £34.99 in an early deal. The device has been hailed ‘Simple but effective’ by one reviewer, who wrote: “It’s very simple to use (you only have to work out time/temp), it’s easy to clean, and quite compact, plus it was a bargain when I got it. It’s versatile enough to make most things you’d expect to be able to do in the grill/oven.”
And this popular Electric Breakfast Muffin Sandwich Maker is already half price – slashed from £39.99 to £19.99, with shoppers claiming it makes a ‘”sausage and egg McMuffin to die for.” One shopper did warn that you do need to pre-cook meat before putting it into the device, though.
Another pleased shopper added: “Amazing muffin maker, so easy to use and clean, all plates pop off to wash. Makes amazing sausage/egg McMuffins, and even makes the best eggs. Very happy customer.”
Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days event will take place from Tuesday, October 6 to Wednesday, October 7.
