Sharing her personal opinion, Ambika said, “When two people are friends, if one of them reaches a higher position in life, we cannot reject that friendship. We should not give it another colour. We can say what we would do in such a situation, but we cannot tell someone else what they should or should not do.” She added that if her presence with a friend in a particular place could lead to unnecessary criticism, she would choose not to attend. “I would not want to put myself in such a situation if I knew that my actions would bring a bad name to a friend or the friendship itself would become a matter of controversy.”
