The journey from a Hyderabad basti to the corporate world forms the interesting backdrop of Ameer Log, whose theatrical trailer was unveiled today.
The film marks the production debut of Awwal Number Productions and is produced by Madhavi Reddy Soma. Ramana Reddy Soma has directed the movie, while Manohar Reddy Manchuri serves as co-producer.
A gang of youngsters, played by MC Hari, Manoj Sasidhar and Vedha Jalandharr, lead a carefree life without worrying much about their future. However, the pressure to find jobs, earn money and settle down keeps following them at home.
A seemingly casual idea eventually becomes a turning point in their lives. The friends decide to enter the food business and launch Kiraak Biryani. What begins as an ambitious attempt to change their lives soon takes them into an unfamiliar corporate world.
The trailer gets much of its fun from the contrast between the youngsters’ straightforward basti lifestyle and the formal corporate setup. Their slang, attitude, confidence and way of handling situations create several entertaining moments, while the story also maintains an emotional connection with family and friendship.
SVK captures Hyderabad in a lively and colourful manner. Smaran Sai’s background score adds to the youthful energy of the trailer.
Overall, the trailer suggests that Ameer Log will be a youthful and entertaining feast.
Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media is releasing the film in the Telugu states. Ameer Log is set to hit theatres on August 21.
