Argos shoppers have the opportunity to save more than £20 while going on a nostalgic trip with an iconic Back to the Future LEGO set. The toy also makes a great early Christmas present for sci-fi fans.
The LEGO Speed Champions Back to the Future Time Machine has been praised by enthusiasts of all ages as a ‘brilliant set’, offering both entertainment and a hefty dose of nostalgia. Argos currently stocks the set at a reduced price of £17, down from £23.
This already undercuts rival online stockists, including LEGO itself, where the set retails for £22.99. Nevertheless, a cashback offer through TopCashback could deliver even greater savings.

The LEGO Speed Champions Back to the Future Time Machine enables anyone aged nine and above to reconstruct the legendary DeLorean that featured in the film’s time-travelling adventures. The set features interactive 3D construction guidance via the LEGO Builder app, simplifying the building process even for novices.
It additionally includes two minifigures modelled on Doc Brown and Marty McFly, who can be seated in the completed DeLorean. The set comprises 357 pieces, promising hours of engaging assembly time.
If you want something a little different, Menkind is currently selling the Back to the Future DeLorean Time Machine Console 3D Lamp at £30. This lamp is directly inspired by the DeLorean’s control console
Otherwise, you can instead opt for the MOCBROPCS STEM Building Car, which is available on Amazon for £39.99. This car set allows customers to put together their own supercar with included instructions.
Argos shoppers who already grabbed the LEGO Back to the Future Time Machine had plenty of praise to give it, with one happy customer writing: “Brilliant set. Big fan of the films and this set captures the Delorean really well. They have so many really good details like the flux capacitor, lightning rod, Mr Fusion thingy, the thing which displays the dates and the outta time licence plate. One problem – we should have an Einstein piece.”
Another added: “Such great value for money item that was fun to build and keep my husband quiet for hours. It has been a great addition to our collection and the mini figures are so cute.”
A third said: “I was marginally disappointed with the look of the ‘big’ Lego Delorean, but the Speed Champions model really does exceed expectations. Some lovely detailing (the wound on Doc Brown’s head!), and minimal stickers makes this a must build. I’d also suggest that this is possibly the best value kit Lego currently make!”
A fourth added: “I bought this for my partner. He loved building it and it has pride of place in his man cave.” While a fifth said: “Brought for my son as a birthday present and very good item. Great to build and he loves it.”
One less pleased customer wrote: “Great Lego set the only problem is the cable that goes round the sides is virtually impossible to fit on.”
Another added: “Was excited to get this but not of great quality once built, seems very fragile with some parts not holding together well, gave up on adding the hoses around the outside!”
