ASOS customers have received a notification this morning with a threatening message telling customers that the e-commerce site has been hacked.
The notification appeared just before 10am this morning, seemingly threatening owners of a ‘leak’ if they do not engage with those who are responsible. The message reads: “Dear Asos DPO and IT, we have fully compromised the Snowflake instance. Engage with us, or we will leak it.”
A link is then shown at the end of the push notification. According to Downdetector, the website the website and app seemingly functioned properly until around 9.40am.
Most customers have reported problems with the app according to the website, with 94% of complaints relating to the application and just 4% about the website. Panicked shoppers have taken to social media this morning to share their concern after receiving the notification.
