As we enter October there’s just a couple of short weeks until the leaves transform into stunning autumnal golds and browns. For those in the mood for a relaxing staycation, Parkdean Resorts is offering four night breaks in some of the UK’s most picturesque locations from £99.

The holiday group boasts sites across the country from coast to countryside and beach to lakes in Devon, Cornwall, Scotland, Wales and the Lake District to name a few. It also offers kid-free Grown-Up Getaways, ideal for adults looking to enjoy a well-earned break without the little ones.

These adult-only stays are available during the school term and offer a range of activities such as yoga, swimming, archery, pool and darts. For evening entertainment, guests can enjoy karaoke, bingo, poker, quizzes, or channel their inner detective with a whodunnit murder mystery.

Those with a creative side can also take part in pottery, jewellery making, painting and mosaic art, before heading to an evening of rock rock ‘n’ roll, country or songs from beloved musicals. Parkdean has a range of accommodation options from lodges to caravans, glamping pods to safari tents, and cottages complete with hot tubs.

Each park also has a choice of on-site bars and restaurants, as well as takeaway and supermarket options so there’s no shortage of places to eat and drink. To take the stress out of booking a holiday, Parkdean also offers a range of all-inclusive packages at many of its UK sites.

With more than 40 locations to choose from across the UK, Grown-Up Getaways offer activities for adults outside of school holidays, and all-inclusive packages are also available.

These are available with select four-night Monday arrival stays at 45 parks, plus select three-night weekend stays at 14 parks. Prices start at £100 per adult and £40 per child, which include three restaurant meals each day, unlimited soft drinks and Costa Coffee, along with a children’s menu.

Elsewhere, Haven is gearing up for spooky season with its Haunted Haven event across more than 30 UK holiday parks. Each site will be hosting a series of Halloween-themed activities and entertainment across the country from £65 for four nights.

Holidaymakers looking to get back to nature can stay in a choice of 13 UK forests with Forest Holidays, which operates sites from Cornwall to Stirling. All lodges are equipped with hot tubs, with a choice of one to five-bedroom options available for couples or larger families.

Parkdean offers three and four-night autumn breaks from £100 per adult.

As for Parkdean Resorts, we’ve been checking the brand’s TripAdvisor reviews and found its most popular destination is the Lake District’s Falbarrow Holiday Park. This top-rated site has received almost 2,000 reviews and offers water sports including sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding on Lake Windermere.

There’s a caveat though, as the all-inclusive deal is not available here. Meanwhile, many Parkdean guests have left glowing reviews on Trustpilot as it offers ‘all the facilities’ needed for a great holiday.

One said: “Great holiday park, friendly staff especially in the bar and restaurant. Being pet-friendly made it for us.”

There’s plenty of entertainment on offer including country music and line dancing.

Another said: “Excellent staff, very friendly. Comfortable accommodation all we needed. Surrounding area and beaches absolutely gorgeous.”

A third said: “Lovely site. Swimming pool [was] absolutely brilliant as were the child aqua jets and water skis. Very good value for money and the site is very nicely maintained. We got a late deal and it was an absolute bargain.”

This holidaymaker offered some feedback in their review, saying: “I booked a three-bedroom lodge but was upgraded to a four-bedroom. I feel I should have been given the choice of upgrade because I found it very big for two of us.”

While this more positive review says: “Parkdean is a great option for relaxing and doing your own thing. Has all the facilities you require to make it a great holiday.”
