Beyoncé’s 45th birthday appeared to be unlike any other. The singer dived deep into nostalgia for her birthday celebration in a glamorous miniskirt. As she stepped out in London, she let her look do all the talking.
According to Page Six, Beyoncé brought her mid-2000s charm back as she celebrated her new milestone. The singer made the streets of London her runway in a glamorous outfit. She celebrated the occasion a few days later at Harry’s Bar in Mayfair wearing a Roberto Cavalli design.
The birthday girl arrived at the venue in a brown ensemble, featuring a sheer top priced at $2,995 and a matching $2,995 micro mini skirt. The entire silhouette featured heavy sequin work, making it a perfect pick for the occasion. A sheer fabric stitched in puff sleeves covered her arms, while the skirt’s hem featured a beaded fringe.
The designer also gave a detailed description of the outfit in which the Cowboy Carter singer turned heads in London. Taking to their Instagram, Cavalli revealed that the attire was from their “Pre-Fall 2026 collection.” It further explained, “The look features an oversized fil coupé velvet shirt with geometric motifs in burnt brown tones and gold lurex, paired with a matching fil coupé velvet pareo mini skirt embellished with gold jet fringes.”
Beyoncé showcased her signature style with the ensemble. She accessorized the look with stone-studded, fishbone-shaped earrings and a chunky yellow diamond ring. Her $8,495 Jimmy Choo Cloud clutch added another touch of shimmer.
The Single Ladies singer also wore a blinky anklet against her rather simple burgundy pumps. Her cranberry-colored Jimmy Choo Beth cat-eye shades also complemented her nude-glam makeup and gave the look a retro touch.
Beyoncé ditched straightening her hair for voluminous dark curls. She tied a half-high ponytail in the front, which reminded her fans of similar hair she carried during the release of her B’Day album in 2006. Hairstylists also called the look a modern interpretation of her look from two decades back.
Besides the newly 45-year-old, her husband, Jay-Z, and mother, Tina Knowles, also joined the celebration. The party was held a few days after her actual birthday on September 4. At the time, Beyoncé attended her husband’s concert in London, where he gave her a heartwarming shoutout. The rapper also made his fans sing the birthday song for her ahead of the mesmerizing fireworks.
Her autumn-coded ensemble and chic hairstyle were not the only ode Beyoncé paid to her 2006 album. On the occasion of her turning 45, she also launched a collectible wooden box titled “Bey Keeper Collectors box.” However, the limited edition box did not sit well with her fans, who branded the billionaire “greedy” for pricing it at $1,100.

The box’s description on the singer’s shopping website revealed that it was made to store her vinyl collection. “Inspired by the beauty of traditional beekeeper crates, this limited-edition collector’s box is designed to house and display your Beyoncé vinyl collection,” it read. As the box did not include any of the vinyl records, it made her fans very unhappy.
An X user exclaimed, “$1K and it’s an empty box. Beyoncé, you have lost your damn mind!” Another critic wrote, “Girl, what the hell are we going to do with wood and air?”
