Billboard Style — that’s an exciting new band. Forth Wanderers’ Ben Guterl and Victoryland’s Dan Howard have been reeling us in with the excellent Pull Of The Moon singles “Billboard Style” and “Meloxicam,” and now they’re sharing their quietest preview yet, “Dropped.”
“My girlfriend and I broke up for a month after being together for 10 years. It was the worst month of my life and I wrote this,” Guterl explains of the track. “This was my goodbye to her, which I subtly allude to when I say ‘goodbye’ at the end. People I share it with think I’m referencing Third Eye Blind in that part, but I was thinking more about ‘So Long, Farewell’ from The Sound Of Music.”
