The Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation (£9.99 at Boots) is said to melt effortlessly into the skin using Rimmel’s Smart-Tone technology. The formula employs a combination of pigments engineered to replicate natural skin tones, helping to achieve a perfectly matched shade and undertone.
Available in 22 shades, Rimmel claims it matches 99 per cent of UK skin tones. The buildable, medium-coverage formula works to minimise the appearance of pores while enhancing, rather than concealing, the skin’s natural finish.
It also boasts skincare benefits, with aloe vera delivering up to 24 hours of moisture and hydration, alongside SPF 20 protection.
The formula, which originally launched in 2010 and has since been refined on numerous occasions, is back in the public eye following the beauty brand’s newly announced partnership with Chelsea FC Women for the 2026/27 season. One reviewer commented: “I have scarring on my face and large pores, and this is so lovely on my skin; it applies well, as well as being buildable. This smells great, and the coverage is great too. You can build this to full coverage without the cakey look. The weight is great too; it is a glass bottle, which I prefer, and the SPF is a bonus.”
A second shopper chimed in: “It has a good consistency, light but creamy and has a good coverage as well. It felt like a little goes a long way, but I don’t like applying too much foundation in general.
