Brad Pitt didn’t miss the memo on fall outerwear. As we noted recently, this season’s vibey-est coats and jackets have shed the muted tones of the stealth wealth era in favor of cherry red, cobalt blue, and bright shades of green. Heck, even winter boots are getting the Starburst treatment. Bombers, field jackets, and Harringtons remain as important as ever, of course, but they’ve been reborn in new, dopamine-friendly styles that are perfect for layering season. Barely two days into fall, Brad Pitt is already leading the way with a duo of jewel-toned suede jackets.
Ahead of the release of The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth in November, Pitt headed to San Sebastian, Spain, for the European premiere of Heart of the Beast, a survival thriller about a retired Special Forces veteran and his dog who become stranded in the Alaskan wilderness.

He arrived at the screening in a blue Zegna suede blouson (a.k.a. a short jacket) paired with a Grimace-purple Tom Ford polo, wide wool trousers, and lemon-yellow Prada Court Re-Nylon sneakers. On paper, the blend of colors and fabrics sounds a tad chaotic (there was also a backward baseball cap and a pair of oversized aviators in the mix), but being Brad Pitt has its advantages, among them the confidence to pull off some extremely freaky fits.
The next day, Pitt was spotted in another suede gem: a Tom Ford bomber in bottle green, which he’d also recently worn to serve as co-grand marshal at the NASCAR Cup Series Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee.
