After a couple of delays, there now appears to be fresh uncertainty surrounding the release plans of Venkatesh’s upcoming film AK47.
The makers were reportedly eyeing October 30, as indicated by producer Naga Vamsi, but that date is now said to be doubtful.
The main reason is the November 6 release of Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayanam, for which major screens across India and even in the US have reportedly been blocked.
If Adarsha Kutumbam (AK47) releases on October 30, there is concern that it may have to vacate several theatres within just a week, potentially affecting its entire second-week run. That possibility is said to have made the makers hesitant about locking the October 30 date.
The team is now reportedly considering November 20 as a possible release date. Interestingly, November 13 is also being discussed, but Sharwanand’s Bhogi has already locked that date, making a clash unavoidable.
Apparently, the makers of AK47 are keen on securing a solo theatrical release and do not want to compete with another prominent Telugu film. That is why they are reportedly weighing the available dates carefully instead of rushing into a release.
However, there is a bigger concern behind all this date-hunting. If AK47 misses the November window altogether, finding another suitable date could become extremely difficult.
A delay beyond November could disrupt the film’s theatrical plans and potentially push its release much further.
For now, November 20 appears to be gaining attention, but nothing seems to be completely locked yet. The release-date suspense is likely to continue until the makers make an official announcement.
