Director Boyapati Sreenu recently revealed that he will be teaming up with Allu Arjun once again.
He said that Geetha Arts will bankroll the project and recalled that Allu Arjun had promised to collaborate with him again after the blockbuster success of Sarrainodu.
According to Boyapati, the project is expected to happen soon.
Meanwhile, social media is abuzz with speculation that director Lokesh Kanagaraj may also be exploring other options, reportedly because his film with Allu Arjun is taking longer than expected to materialise.
The latest buzz is that Atlee is planning to split Raaka into two parts and shoot both instalments back-to-back. If that plan goes ahead, Allu Arjun could remain occupied with the project for a considerable period.
Against this backdrop, there is speculation that Lokesh Kanagaraj may approach Mahesh Babu with a new project. However, there is no clarity yet on whether Lokesh’s film with Allu Arjun has been shelved or merely delayed.
The Allu Arjun-Lokesh Kanagaraj project was officially announced earlier, with Mythri Movie Makers set to produce it. For now, talk of Lokesh shifting his focus to Mahesh Babu remains unconfirmed.
Mahesh Babu, meanwhile, has recently completed shooting for S S Rajamouli’s Varanasi. He is expected to begin promotions for the film in early 2027.
Mahesh Babu has not yet officially announced his next project after Varanasi.
