Fall, the 2022 survival thriller, came out of nowhere. The surprise hit gave audiences clammy hands as they watched two best friends stuck atop a 2,000-foot-tall broadcast tower. Four years later, we have Fall 2, and the cast and crew are very aware of the pressure to follow up on its predecessor.
At the UK premiere, FILMHOUNDS got to speak with the film’s stars Harriet Slater, Arsema Thomas, and Tom Brittney, as well as writers Jonathan Frank and Scott Mann. “It felt like being stuck at the top of a mountain, to be fair.”, recalled Frank. “It was scary, it was intense. All the eyes are on this one.”
Stars Slater and Thomas felt more excited than the writers. Slater explained, “It’s such a privilege to come into a world where there is a pre-existing fanbase.” But it wouldn’t be an easy ride. Thomas revealed details about the limited training and the physical climbing during the shoot. “There’s the first one, and you’re like, oh, that’s high. And then they put you 40 feet up in the air, and you’re like, oh, this is much higher. And then you watch [the film] and it’s 40,000 feet in the air.”
