Star director Chandoo Mondeti will be directing Mahakaal, for which Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali penned the story. The film will be starring Akshay Kumar and Rana in the lead roles while Bhansali himself is bankrolling the project.
The major part of the project would be shot in Varanasi and it is a mythological entertainer.Despite the mythological backdrop and the title, the report states that the story will not revolve around one specific deity.
Chandoo Mondeti captured the imagination of all with the film Karthikeya 2 and later attracted all with Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel. With this new development, one can be rest assured that Chandoo Mondeti’s animation movie Vayuputra will be on the backburner.
Following the hit of Thandel, Chandoo Mondeti worked on numerous scripts and set his sights on Bollywood. It is coming out that Mahakaal story will be completely different. Bhansali got impressed with Chandoo Mondeti’s work in Karthikeya 2 and decided to collaborate with him.
