The last few days remain
After one of the hottest summers in recent years, Nottingham Beach has enjoyed a bumper season of fun in the sun.
Thousands of visitors have taken advantage of the good weather to take to the sands or quench their thirst with a refreshing cold drink in the bar.
The attraction in Old Market Square is now drawing to an end after six weeks of sand, paddling pool, fairground rides, games and food stalls, as well as free weekly activities including salsa dancing, volleyball, DJs, live music and film nights under the stars.
One visitor said: “The beach is the best place to take the kids whilst shopping in Nottingham through the summer holiday. Not all kids are fortunate to get to a beach so it helps families.”
There’s still time to chase the last of the rays over the Bank Holiday weekend before the beach packs up on Monday, August 31, at 6pm.
