Mica Miller was found dead in 2024 in a North Carolina state park and it was ruled a suicide, but the verdict has been hotly contested since. The 30-year-old was married to local pastor John-Paul Miller, who announced her suicide during one of his sermons. Before her death, Mica had nearly divorced her Miller and posted online about abuse, saying, ‘God hates divorce… because it hurts people. But does abuse hurt people? How do you think God feels about that?’
This three-parter digs into the case, using never-before-seen footage and hearing from friends and family members of Mica who are telling their story for the first time. It’s one of those cases that still feels very ‘live’, so be prepared to have some discussions about it during and after watching – especially as, at the time of airing, John-Paul Miller is facing charges in the US for both cyberstalking his wife and making false statements about her to federal investigators.
