Disney+ and Hulu subscribers are about to pay more. The platforms are rolling out another price hike across their streaming service plans. It’s Disney’s fourth annual hike in four years.
Disney+ Premium and Hulu Premium, plans without ads, will each cost $21.49/month, up from $18.99, reports Variety. Additionally, the Disney+/Hulu Premium bundle price has also gone up from $19.99 to $21.99/month.
Latest prices are applicable for new subscribers starting September 23, 2026. Existing customers will see the new pricing on their next monthly bill. This move may prompt many subscribers to opt for the bundle option, as it costs nearly half of what they’d pay for each service’s no-ad premium plan separately.
Even Disney+ and Hulu’s ad-supported plans have been hiked. They will now cost $12.49/month instead of $11.99. However, the ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu bundle’s price remains unchanged at $12.99/month.
The Disney+ price hike comes right as Toy Story 5 arrives on streaming
The latest price hike comes immediately after the much-awaited 2026 blockbuster Toy Story 5’s streaming debut. Pixar’s animated movie is now available to watch on Disney+.
Helmed by Andrew Stanton, Toy Story 5 is the newest installment in the iconic franchise. It brings back lots of beloved toy characters. The massive voice cast includes Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Joan Cusack as Jessie, Greta Lee as Lilypad, Conan O’Brien as Smarty Pants, and Tony Hale as Forky, among others.
Joining them are John Ratzenberger as Hamm, Wallace Shawn as Rex, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog, Jeff Bergman as Mr. Potato Head, Ernie Hudson as Combat Carl, and Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom.
Made on a reported budget of $250 million, Toy Story 5 earned over $1.14 billion worldwide, including $480 million in North America alone. It became the third-highest-grossing movie of 2026 and the tenth highest-grossing animated film of all time.
