Homeware fans are turning to retro and vintage accessories this autumn to bring a cosy and nostalgic feel to the space. Dunelm has just released two new colours of the Floyd Retro Floor Lamp and it’s the perfect way to inject your living room with some ambient lighting.
Priced at £99, the striking mid-century style lamp features an antique-look metal base with a ribbed glass shade. With the red variation already proving a hit with shoppers, the retailer has just added burgundy and green options to the line up.
For those looking for a cheaper option, Dunelm also stocks the Floyd Retro Table Lamp for £45. Available in the same colours, it would make for a fabulous coffee table or bedside table addition.

One shopper who opted for the floor lamp said: “Love it. As soon as I spotted this I knew I wanted it, not disappointed it looks great on my landing at the top of the stairs.”
Another buyer wrote: “Stylish Art Deco retro design, great quality and classy look.”
Although, this shopper noted an area for improvement as part of a longer review which reads: “Very classy looking lamp and will suit our living room very well (still undergoing being decorated). I love the colour it gives out into the room and I love the character it gives.
“My only ‘issue’ with it is that there’s a very noticeable ring that is on the top of the lamp when turned on – this is from the perspex disc that you put underneath the shade to allow it more support and to sit straight. It’s not a huge issue, but I think if you are to buy this, be mindful of where you are putting it if the ring is visible from above.”
Alternatively, Dusk stocks a slightly cheaper option which also brings that retro charm to the home. The Titan Gold Domed Floor Lamp has an all-gold design with a sleek gold cylindrical base and matching domed shade.
Bargain hunters might also consider the Living and Home Modern Arched Floor Lamp which has had a huge price reduction from £152 down to £59.01 at Debenhams. This sleek option features a mable base with an overhanging domed shade.
A handy added feature of the arched floor lamp is you can adjust the pole height, allowing you to create the perfect lighting when you’re curled up with a book.
