Emily Atack‘s ITV show Nobody’s Fool has been axed after just one series – leaving her free to star in the new Inbetweeners movie.

The TV star, 36, hosted the reality quiz alongside her Rivals co-star Danny Dyer, 49, with viewers branding the programme a ‘rip-off’ of the successful Disney+ bonkbuster when it hit screens in May.

Nobody’s Fool was an intellect-based game that featured ten players who had to lie and cheat their way to a potential £100,000 prize pot by convincing the others that they had aced daily quizzes – even when they hadn’t.

And now bosses have pulled the plug on the quiz, with an ITV spokesperson telling The Daily Mail that ‘There are no immediate plans for another series of Nobody’s Fool’.

Meanwhile, a source told The Sun of the axing: ‘It’s disappointing for Emily, but the news will give fans fresh hope she could now take part in filming for the third Inbetweeners movie.

‘They’ve been delighted by the fact the original four leads have signed up to resume their roles, but she’s also a hugely important character to devotees.

‘Now they’ll be hoping that clearing some of her diary will give her the chance to be a part of what’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting events for fans this year.’

The Daily Mail has contacted ITV representatives for comment.

The trailer for the third Inbetweeners movie was released this week, with the four main stars –  Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas – reprising their roles as Will McKenzie, Jay Cartwright, Neil Sutherland and Simon Cooper.

Despite excitement over the return, it has been reported that streaming bosses aren’t satisfied with just the main men returning – they also want to see Emily reprise her role as Charlotte ‘Big Jugs’ Hinchcliffe.

The move comes as a surprise after Emily was axed from the Inbetweeners reunion seven years ago following a ‘past fling’ with James.

A source told the publication: ‘The creators of the show have written the script and are ready to roll – but Emily is one of the missing pieces in the project they’re keen to get in place.

‘Fans will already be delighted that the four main leads are returning as there was concern that a reboot might see new, younger actors cast in the roles of the lads, who were all supposed to be teenagers in the show.

‘But it’s fair to say getting Emily back would be the cherry on the Inbetweeners cake.’

Last month, sources told The Sun that all four of the main actors were ‘thrilled’ to be asked back, but noted that things would be a bit harder for Emily to commit to a reboot movie considering everything she’s got going on at the moment.

In 2019, Emily was reportedly axed from the Inbetweeners reunion after James told producers ‘it’s her or me’ following a past fling they had when they were both single.

Reports suggested at the time that James was afraid his wife, Clair Meek, would find out about the brief relationship they had during their days in the show during 2008 to 2010.

As well as starring in Disney series Rivals, Emily is in the process of making a new programme for the BBC called Reputation.

Meanwhile, the actress is set to tie the knot with husband Dr Alistair Garner in a second star-studded Spanish wedding this Saturday.

She and Alistair, who share a two-year-old son Barney, will say their vows in the stunning whitewashed hilltop town of Mojacar, south of Alicante.

The musician’s daughter is well known in Mojacar where her dad Keith, 67, had a summer home he sold in 2018, and she has been a regular visitor over the years.
