A farm shop that has served the community since 1983 is among one of Leicestershire’s finest after being nominated by our readers in our Leics Eat awards.
Farndon Fields Farm Shop, in Farndon Road, Market Harborough, has become a destination which ties together homegrown and locally-sourced produce with food retail.
The location – described as a “destination” for those who love great food – also serves up seasonal dishes inside its Farmer’s Kitchen restaurant.
As a family-run venture, Farndon Fields said it believes it’s a combination of things that make it stand out.
Olivia Stanway, who is part of the farm shop’s team, said: “Farndon Fields is an independent, family-run farm shop on the edge of Market Harborough.
“Rooted in farming since 1983, we’ve grown into a destination for people who love great food, bringing together homegrown and locally sourced produce, food retail and seasonal dining, with a longstanding commitment to quality and personal service.
“We believe what makes Farndon Fields special is the combination of people, place and provenance.”
The farm shop has been shortlisted alongside two other locations in our Leics Eat awards which strive to celebrate the very best food and drink across the county.
Olivia added that the family is “extremely proud” to be in the running for the best Leicestershire farm shop.
She credited the shop’s focus on the customer experience as well as its commitment to homegrown food for its success.
Olivia said: “We are extremely proud to be running for the award.
“Homegrown produce remains at our heart, with 85 varieties grown this year, but our continued focus on quality and the customer experience has driven us to develop every area of our business.”
