Fontaines D.C. announce second Heaton Park gig due to ‘extremely high demand’ with pre-sale already underway

All tickets will go on sale this week

Fontaines D.C. have just confirmed a second show at Heaton Park for next year after huge demand.

The Irish rock band initially announced they would play the Bury park on Saturday, July 3, with a number of pre-sales initially going up for fans to buy tickets today (Tuesday, September 8). They will also play Manchester’s AO Arena later this year on November 21, which is now sold out.

Promoters for the show, which will see the band supported by Little Simz and Viagra Boys, have now said that due to ‘extremely high demand’, a second show at Heaton Park has now been added to take place on Sunday, July 4.

Artist and O2 pre-sales have begun immediately following the announcement, with a Live Nation pre-sale beginning on Wednesday (September 9) from 10am. General sale for both dates will take place from 10am on Thursday, September 10.

Tickets will be available to buy from Ticketmaster and Live Nation.

Alongside the two shows in Manchester, the tour will also include a series of shows in Cardiff, Newcastle, Glasgow and London. The shows will promote the band’s upcoming album, Dopamine Chamber, which will be released on October 16.

Fontaines D.C. – made up of band members Grian Chatten, Carlos O’Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan and Tom Coll – said the new record, which comes as a follow-up to their 2024 album Romance, will bring potent balladry, and anthemic melodies glinting through the murk.

Ahead of the release, Grian Chatten says: “The album itself is a dopamine chamber. You step inside and we test these different mind- or mood-altering pieces of music on you.”
