Rushcliffe Borough Council will make a decision on the application in due course

An old Nottinghamshire yoga studio could be turned into a micropub if new plans are approved.
Red Squirrel Taverns Ltd have applied to Rushcliffe Borough Council turn 37-39 Long Acre in Bingham, in the centre of the town, into a micropub.
The property is currently empty, with the windows smeared and a ‘to let’ sign outside.
It was previously home to The Yoga Lounge, run by Nicola Lindley, which had operated since 2018 in the premises after an application was granted by the council to change the building appropriately.
That application included one for a juice bar and a coffee shop on the ground floor, with yoga taking place upstairs.
The building also previously played host to the Courtyard Delicatessen & Bistro, La Coquette, Folks & Fables Coffee House & Creative Space and a fireplace shop called RDR Stoves.
Red Squirrel Taverns, based in Staffordshire, is a new company which was only incorporated in April.
There is little about the business online, apart from that it is run by Joseph Beresford and Katherine Bowden.
Their planning application reveals no details on what the name of the new pub would be nor when it would hope to open.
The prospective establishment would join two other pubs on Long Acre just a short walk away – the Horse and Plough and the Wheatsheaf.
What is known is that the new owners intend to make no structural changes to the two-storey property, with the ground floor and upper floor to be used as a seating area for customers and the cellar downstairs set to be used to store “all items used for beer dispensing” such as beer coolers and barrels.
Rushcliffe Borough Council’s planning officers will now consider the application.
