GTA 6 Collector's Box Officially Revealed By Rockstar

Grand Theft Auto 6 has previously been under fire for the lack of a physical edition at launch, but developer Rockstar Games has now revealed that it’s not averse to dropping a physical collection for the release. That being said, the new announcement won’t be exactly what many fans are looking for, as it still doesn’t bring a disc into the equation.

Instead, Rockstar is embracing the merchandise route, bundling a lot of items inspired by the game into one premium package. It’s quite a collection, but unsurprisingly, the cost of going full Vice City mode is nothing to sneeze at.

The official Rockstar Games X account announced Grand Theft Auto 6: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, a “premium” collectible set leaning into the branding of “Leonida’s hit TV Show, Macca the Gator.” The pink gator himself appears in the form of a statuette, along with showing up on the included crossbody bag, snapback hat, mirror, shot glass, pin set, stickers, and poster. The only products that appear to be free of Macca’s presence are a pair of Oakley sunglasses, a swizzle spoon, and a razor blade keychain.

The price for the Vice City Collection, which can currently be pre-ordered through the official Rockstar Games online storefront, is a whopping $399.99. Naturally, it would be too much to assume that you get the game included, and the website notes that Grand Theft Auto 6 itself is sold seperately.

It’s clear that Rockstar is trying to differentiate the Vice City Collection from the average video game trinkets, especially with the inclusion of name brands like Oakley. The website even goes through the trouble of citing a custom YKK zipper for the crossbody bag, although that doesn’t make it look any less like a typical fanny pack with some patches applied.

There’s definitely some cool stuff in here, but only massive GTA 6 fans will want to cough up the money that Rockstar Games is asking to invest in the whole package. Hopefully, we’ll end up seeing plenty of Grand Theft Auto 6 merchandise that doesn’t require the same level of spending.
