One of the highlights for audiobook fans is the Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions, bringing the much-loved wizarding world to life with a cast of voices rather than a single narrator. Perfect for spooky season, the collection features seven completely reimagined recordings and more than 200 actors.
The star-studded cast includes Hugh Laurie, Riz Ahmed, Matthew Macfadyen and Keira Knightley. Rather than a traditional single-narrator audiobook, the productions feature individual actors voicing the characters, alongside original music and sound effects.
Amazon Music Unlimited is available on Amazon

All the music is ad-free and listeners can download songs or playlists for offline listening.
The immersive Dolby Atmos audio helps bring the wizarding world to life. The new take on the classic Harry Potter stories have been well received by listeners.
One subscriber said: “Have listened to every single book now. Really had me addicted, Hugh Laurie and team read great. Listening to books was lot better than reading them. So enjoyed every single one.”
Another said the audiobooks were ‘more entertaining than watching the films’ adding: “The cast do an excellent job. The sound quality is impressive, even without spatial sound it’s still immersive. I’ll certainly be continuing with the series and look forward to hearing all the characters in future books.”
A third added; “A magical and immersive way to experience the beginning of J.K. Rowling’s beloved series, bringing the world of Hogwarts to life with a rich, theatrical performance. The full cast adds incredible depth and personality to each character, making the story feel more alive than ever.”
For those interested in exploring alternative platforms, Apple Music offers millions of songs to stream without adverts. Subscribers can listen across all Apple devices, create personalised queues, save music for offline playback, and enjoy expert playlists, radio broadcasts, and video material.
Similarly, at Spotify, new subscribers can enjoy three months of Spotify Premium for free, after which it will cost £12.99 per month. The platform also offers millions of songs, playlists, podcasts and curated radio stations.
Back at Amazon Music Unlimited, the service also offers one free audiobook download per month, alongside more than 100 million songs and ad-free podcasts. This means subscribers can switch between music, podcasts and audiobooks depending on what they fancy listening to.
There are plenty of popular podcasts available too, including Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster, Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place and The Rest Is Politics. Audiobooks and podcasts can be listened to across smartphones, tablets, computers, Fire TVs and Amazon Echo devices, while subscribers can also save content for offline listening.
It’s not just the sheer amount of content that could appeal to audiobook fans. Amazon Music Unlimited also offers personalised recommendations based on listening habits, making it easier to discover new books, podcasts and music.
The platform has received plenty of positive feedback on Trustpilot, with one reviewer describing it as ‘the best music player’, while another called it ‘a strong all-round music streaming service’.
However, not all feedback was entirely positive, as one listener offered a more balanced view: “I have Unlimited. You get Autoplay by default, so as I’m playing one of MY own playlists, it is interrupted by Amazon playing tracks they think I might like….But I don’t.”
Despite this, the majority of users remained thoroughly satisfied, with one customer commenting: “Amazon Music is my go-to. [It is] brilliant at finding perfect song choices for me, and I prefer them to other music apps. No issues with them at all, and I love the music recommendations for me too.”
But for listeners who want more than just music, Amazon Music Unlimited’s combination of audiobooks, podcasts and music in one subscription could make the current free trial particularly tempting.
New subscribers can claim four months of Amazon Music Unlimited free for Prime members, or three months for non-Prime members, until October 10, 2026.
