The Irish singer has been added to the Cardiff Castle line-up for next summer

Irish singer songwriter Ronan Keating has been announced as the next artist to perform at Cardiff Castle next summer. Ronan will perform at DEPOT Live at Cardiff Castle on Friday, July 9, with support from Blue and the Germein Sisters.
He will also perform at Llangollen Pavilion on Thursday, July 1. Tickets for both of the concerts will go on general sale at 10am on Friday, September 25. You’ll be able to buy tickets from depotlive.co.uk, llangollen.net and Ticketmaster.
Ronan announced he would be embarking on his Just Getting Started world tour during an appearance on The One Show on Thursday evening. He said it would be the biggest tour in his solo career, featuring Boyzone songs and his own solo hits.

Speaking to Alex Jones and Roman Kemp, Ronan said: “It’s the biggest tour I’ve ever done in my solo career. In 33 years I’ve never taken on a tour like this all over the globe.
“I think after the two Boyzone shows I wanted to bring the drama back to my shows, it was incredible that buzz so I thought: ‘Let’s do it, let’s get back on the road.'”
Looking ahead to the tour, Ronan said: “I’ve been incredibly lucky to have spent more than three decades doing what I love. I’ve travelled the world, made records I’m enormously proud of and, most importantly, had audiences singing those songs back to me night after night.
“The reason I’ve called this tour Just Getting Started is because I genuinely feel I’m entering a new chapter. I understand myself, my music and what I want to say more clearly than ever before, and I want to celebrate these songs with audiences in a way that feels fresh.
“I feel creatively energised, deeply grateful and more connected to what I do than ever, and I can’t wait to share that with people around the world.”
The former Boyzone star has sold millions of albums and topped the charts worldwide, both as a member of Boyzone and as a solo artist in his own right. He is best known for hits including When You Say Nothing At All, If Tomorrow Never Comes, and Life Is a Rollercoaster.
Over the years the Irish singer has performed in Wales many times, including most recently in May 2025 when the ’90s icon headlined the final night of In It Together Festival in Port Talbot.
The concert is the latest announcement ahead of what is expected to be another great summer of music in the capital. So far, Depot has announced that Jack Savoretti and James Morrison will perform a double-headline gig at Cardiff Castle.
Meanwhile, Fontaines DC are the first act to be announced for Blackweir Live 2027. The Dublin band will be joined by Little Simz and Viagra Boys when they perform on Tuesday, June 29.
Andrea Bocelli is the only concert which has been announced at the Principality Stadium so far. The Italian tenor will perform his first ever headline concert in Wales on Saturday, May 8. The Welsh Rugby Union previously said that having only two concerts at the stadium this year had been a “blip”.
Since June 2026, 360,000 people have enjoyed live music at Cardiff Castle and Blackweir Live. The team behind both series, Depot Live and promoters Cuffe and Taylor, heralded the summer a huge success and said they had plans to do it all over again next year.
The 24 shows at the 9,000-capacity Cardiff Castle attracted 193,000 people, while the larger Blackweir, with a capacity of 35,000, attracted 165,000 people over five nights.
