It won’t be long until the temperatures drop and the leaves start turning brown. Despite colder weather dampening spirits, autumn can be a great time for fashion lovers. It is arguably the best season for outerwear with bomber jackets, trench coats and fur-lined numbers all making a welcome return to our wardrobes.
Asda has plenty of options across all of these categories with lightweight jackets and heavy-duty puffer coats too.
I went to the Smithdown Road branch where I found three great options for autumn for under £40.
Burgundy Leather Look Funnel Neck Jacket (£38)
This jacket is right on trend with a funnel neck which has been cropping up everywhere on the clothing of high street and high end retailers alike in recent months.
Meanwhile the burgundy colour instantly points to this being an autumn fashion staple.
The jacket features a press stud and zip fastening to keep the cold at bay while the elasticated hem gives a more fitted look. The jacket is made from 100% polyester and comes in sizes eight to 24.
Stone Belted Midi Trench Coat (£30)
Of course no autumn fashion round up would be complete without a good trench coat. For a classic look the Stone Belted Midi Trench Coat offers a timeless and chic piece, with a belt for added shape. It comes in sizes XS to XXL.
The jacket has a collared neck with a notched lapel and other details include a back split and storm flap. There is a double button fastening on the front with additional fastenings on the sleeves too.
For something of a similar length the Brown Shower Resistant Hooded Rain Coat (£35) can be found in the same sizes and offers a rubberised material and a handy hood.
Leopard Print Padded Hooded Coat (£38)
When the days truly start getting cold, a puffer jacket is a must-have and Asda’s Leopard Print Padded Hooded Coat offers a way to keep warm while looking stylish too.
The coat is shower resistant and has an elasticated toggle waist for an adjustable fit. It has a zip fastening as well as zip pockets for keeping your belongings safe on autumn walks. It comes in sizes XS to XXL.
