Cardi B and Maduka Okoye could be a new couple. Here’s what she has said about her relationship with the soccer player.
Several months after her split from Stefon Diggs, Cardi B is potentially jumping back into the dating pool with Nigerian soccer star Maduka Okoye. The pair have been spotted chatting together multiple times. While Cardi hasn’t confirmed any relationship, she has spoken about the goalie.
What has Cardi B said about Maduka Okoye?
Cardi and Okoye sparked romance rumors during Paris Fashion Week. The pair sat together at the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show. Later, photographs captured the pair being all smiles as they laughed together on a balcony.
When questioned about their flirty dynamic at fashion week, Cardi said she really enjoyed Okoye’s company.
“He was really sweet,” she told Vogue Arabia. “When you see him on social media, he looks very strict, stern, but he is very kind.”
She then confirmed that she hopes to see more of him. Cardi got the opportunity to do this at Milan Fashion Week in September. She walked the runway for Vogue World’s event at Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. At the show’s afterparty, Cardi and Okoye chatted and had drinks together.
Although she recently ended her relationship with Diggs, Cardi told her fans she didn’t intend to stay single for long.
“I’ve been seeing some suggestions, and y’all be like, ‘Oh, I want her to be single. I want her to be focused on herself,” she said on X Spaces. “I want her to be this.’ B****, I’m not going to be single for the rest of my life. I was single throughout my whole tour. Single, not talking to nobody, not entertaining nobody, not anything.”
At this point, though, it’s not clear if she’s in a relationship with Okoye, or just happy to chat with him at events.
