Jean-Paul Rouve spoke about being bullied on RTL Variétés during an appearance with Augustin Trapenard. On the program he said he “suffered from bullying”.
Middle school theatre experience
At age 14-15 Rouve attended middle school theater classes and experienced bullying related to his theater involvement. Those classes were mainly girls with very few boys. He joined his school’s theater troupe as a teenager.
Family background and later work
Rouve is the son of a shipyard worker and of a stay-at-home mother. He turned to theater at a very young age and later became the director of Lola and Her Brothers.
