KATSEYE Lara Raj Explains Kumkum Look, Calls It ‘Sacred Blessing’ Amid Ongoing ‘Sindoor’ Controversy

KATSEYE’s Lara Raj has opened up about the Indian-inspired look she wore for her Paris Fashion Week debut after the prominent red kumkum in her hair parting sparked an online debate. Lara stepped out in a bright yellow mini dress styled with a bindi, maang tikka, jhumkas, nose pin and gold payals. While the look was widely discussed for its use of traditional Indian elements, the kumkum became the centre of conversations around its cultural and religious significance. Now, Lara has shared the personal meaning behind the styling, revealing that kumkum has been part of her life since childhood and that her look paid homage to Bollywood icon Rekha and her mother.
