Nani and Srikanth Odela’s The Paradise arrived worldwide on September 24 across Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. The period action drama, set against 1980s Secunderabad, opens with tributes to several departed personalities, including Kota Srinivasa Rao, Ramoji Rao, Gaddar and choreographer Rakesh Master.
Rakesh Master receives special recognition for his connection with the Aaya Sher song. His choreography became part of the song’s promotional buzz, with dance clips gaining attention online. The Paradise team has now honoured the late choreographer by featuring his presence through a tribute, adding an emotional element to the film’s opening.
The Paradise also incorporates references inspired by Telangana political and cultural history. Priyadarshi appears as Shankaranna, with his appearance and mannerisms drawing comparisons to former Telangana Chief Minister KCR. Dialogues and presentation resembling KCR’s public speaking style have emerged as notable moments among audiences.
The film additionally features glimpses resembling legendary actor and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister NTR, with P. Vijay Kumar appearing in the role. These real world references are woven into Srikanth Odela’s narrative. The Paradise stars Nani, Kayadu Lohar, Mohan Babu, Raghav Juyal and Sonali Kulkarni, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the music.
