Lawrence Robb’s famous partner and ‘stressful’ time in personal life amid Strictly stint

The Emmerdale star is set to make his Strictly debut this weekend

Lawrence Robb is set to show off his best moves on Strictly – but what do we know about his life away from the BBC show?

The Emmerdale favourite is one of many famous faces taking part in this year’s series of the dancing competition. Lawrence will be joined by the likes of Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer and Chris Appleton.

Talking about appearing on the programme, Lawrence said he felt “nervous, trepidatious, but excited is the overriding emotion”. He added: “I know that it’s going to be an uphill battle from the get-go.”

But away from the BBC show, what do we know about his life? Who is his famous partner? And why is he going through a ‘stressful’ time at the moment? Here’s a look inside Lawrence’s life.

Where is Lawrence from?

Lawrence is originally from a town in Scotland called Kilmacolm, which is around 45 minutes north-west of Glasgow. He was born in 1991, which makes him 34 years old.

Originally, he wanted to become a singer after studying musical theatre at university. Lawrence tried his hand at acting and bagged small roles in theatre and television – including I Hate Suzie – which led him to Emmerdale.

Lawrence’s romance

Away from the Dales Lawrence is currently in a relationship with Pamela Blair. He first sparked speculation of a ‘secret’ girlfriend in 2024 when he shared a break to Antigua, featuring himself on the trip with just a hint of Pamela’s tattooed arm, hinting he wasn’t alone.

The couple, who keep things low-key, then made their debut at the Scottish Baftas. Since then, the pair have shared the odd adorable update as they spend time with each other and their gorgeous pooches, including an idyllic break away to the Cornwall coast.

Theatre and musical fans will recognise Pamela for her role in the hugely successful The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical, playing the roles of Chanteuse and Emily, appearing alongside Vanessa Williams.

Her other theatre credits include Beauty and the Beast, Oklahoma!, Cinderella, 42nd Street and Curtains. The talented actress has also appeared in the film Tomorrow Morning and made several TV appearances in BBC Proms and ITV’s The Olivier Awards.

Lorraine on his girlfriend who’s a ‘keeper’

Lawrence couldn’t help but sing Pamela’s praises during an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine in 2025. During his chat with Lorraine Kelly, it emerged that the interview nearly came to a halt after he left his outfit behind.

“I’m so glad that you’re sitting there looking so refined, so elegant, so beautiful. Can I tell the nation that you forgot your clothes this morning? You didn’t turn up naked or anything, you had your sport stuff on and someone came to your rescue” Lorraine said.

Fortunately, Lawrence’s girlfriend Pamela ensured he could wear his intended ensemble. He said: “My gorgeous girlfriend left halfway through our car journey here and went back to the house to grab it and then got the tube here… it was very dramatic. She’s a keeper.”

Lawrence’s ‘stressful‘ time

Recently, Lawrence confessed he’s facing “the most stressful” thing ever during the same time that he’s taking part in the BBC dancing series Strictly Come Dancing.

“On top of doing the show I am moving house, which is arguably more stressful than anything else an adult can do in modern day!” he shared.

Lawrence also went through a stressful time last year, after his cherished pet dog required urgent veterinary treatment. Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine, he said: “He actually, unfortunately, he had to have a little operation not yesterday but the day before.

“He’s okay, he’s okay but he had a grass seed that had got inside one of his paws. They had to operate and take it out. A grass seed!”.

Lorraine replied: “I know, it’s amazing isn’t it? You’ve got to be so careful with them, I’ve heard about that before!”.

Lawrence went on: “We went to pick him up from the emergency vet not last night but the night before. It was like 11pm and honestly he was like [mimicked being asleep] the whole way back, I had to carry him back the whole way!” Speaking about his treasured Cockapoo, he declared: “He’s a wee dream!”
