Leicester bakery’s heartfelt message to customers as it prepares to open second branch

It will be introducing ‘exciting’ new items alongside its signature bakes

A family-run bakery is to open a second Leicester location after decades of serving the local community.

Quality Bakery has stood in East Park Road since 1979 serving everything from cream cakes to doughnuts, cookies, brownies and more.

The business – which has now appeared in Uppingham Road – also serves cobs, pasties, pizza sticks and samosas.

Owner Adam Foolat, who took over Quality Bakery from his grandfather in 2024, said he is “proud” to be opening a second branch after working on it for some time.

Mr Footlat said: “After more than 45 years in the baking business, proudly serving our community and becoming one of the most trusted bakeries in Leicester, we’re proud to reveal that we’re expanding.

“We have been working hard in the background for quite some time, and we’re so proud to finally share the news with our Quality Bakery family.

“We’ll continue bringing you our fresh signature bakes, made using traditional recipes and the finest ingredients alongside an exciting new range crafted for modern tastes.

“Thank you for supporting us for over four decades. Quality Bakery family – we’re growing because of you.”

Preparations are still ongoing ahead of its opening, with an official date to be shared soon.
